Verbs on the screen are fragments from censored parts of a film script

Verbs associated either with women, female ghosts, animals, Buddhist rituals written into scenes for Lady Hong the Beauty (1969), directed by South Korean auteur Kim Ki-Young

The deletes and edits were made for the “concern that they will harm public order and standard of decency,” according to the censorship committee set up by Park Chung Hee’s military junta (1961-1979)

bonebag is a collection of scenes made with rituals and gestures derived from censored verbs
our attempt to breathe life into what was redacted, silenced
